Chris leben to replace the injured Wanderlei Silva in UFC 116 Main Event

Fresh super fight winner at The Ultimate Fighter 11 Finale, Chris Leben (20-6 MMA, 10-5 UFC) has decided to take the place of an injured Wanderlei Silva (33-10-1 MMA, 3-5 UFC) and challenge Yoshihiro Akiyama (13-1-2 MMA, 1-0 UFC) during the co-headliner of next week's UFC 116 live stream online event.

UFC 116 will take place on July 3 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Leben vs. Akiyama would certainly consider the second billing for the event's pay-per-view broadcast associated with heavyweight title-unification fight between the great Brock Lesnar and interim title-holder Shane Carwin.

UFC President Dana White confirmed that Silva had cracked ribs and was forced to leave the scheduled fight while the Nevada State Athletic Commission did not issue a medical suspension in which he suffered a small injury after the Simpson fight.
